So I watched the Oscars last night, as you know. All 4 hours of them...

I was glad that Little Miss Sunshine got two. I didn't think it would win Best Picture, and I didn't think Abigail Breslin would win. It's really amazing and I am so happy for Jennifer Hudson. She lost American Idol, and then goes on to win an Oscar. I' was glad that Alan Arkin won, of course, but I had seen some clips from Blood Diamond and I think that Djimon Hounsou did really well. I didn't see the other movies in the Best Documentary Feature category, but I didn't agree with the Academy's choice of An Inconvenient Truth. In my opinion, that was hardly a documentary. It was Al Gore standing in front of a screen talking about global warming, and it reminded me of a science class lecture.

Ellen DeGeneres was so freakin hilarious, of course!! ( Actually, here's a list of funny quotes from her and other people. )



I really wish I had seen more of those movies. The nominees for Best Documentary Short looked really good, so I'm gonna look for them when I can.

( Also, there was this commercial that I thought was so freaking funny, it probably wasn't though. )


Man, when I was watching the Oscars, all I could think about was how much I wanted to be there. Don't worry, you guys. You'll be in my acceptance speech for sure.
